Return of the hobo

It’s back to the hobo way of life for me, its only a year and a few months since I was living out of my backpack for months on end without a place to call home. Wandering around Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Well, I just rented my flat,as of tomorrow as I plan to be in Warsaw for the next week.. then, I am not sure, then England for a couple of weeks until I return to Poland.

Renting it to some American chap who has been coming to Krakow every summer for the last 4 years! Same old reasons, awesome city vibe, nice girls, blah, blah.

Has a unique way of life, film/tv director for 3 months of the year in the US and then wanders around the planet for the rest of the year, sounds nice!

Anyway, he is hanging out here for the month and buying up some cars before heading to Budapest where his rally starts! Heard some awesome stories about this thing, and it sounds like fun! That’s what I should be doing instead of .. whatever it is that I am doing instead!

Next year, I want in!

Dirty Spanyard

Only kidding, just wanted something offensive for a change. I put Anna on a train to Warsaw today for her new life in the big city at Polands top law firm… yea, still paying peanuts though! Crazy Polish economy!

Mean while I rented out a room to a Spanish chap, the same day she left… because I was planning to spend most of my time in Warsaw and I thought it might be nice…

He is only here for 3 weeks.. but I know absolutely nothing about the chap.. and Its all arranged through a random phone call.

Wish me luck!

Basement wars

I went to see Mr 19 today, even with a plan of the building and a legal document it was hard work for Anna to convince the chap! It also meant he got 4 times the space but even so, he was still not happy. We were stood by his door while his 90+ year old mother was repeatedly trying to burst out the door screaming about how it was her basement! He tried his best to settle/ignore her but opted for locking the door so we could continue to the sound of her muffled squeals, quite a voice on her for a woman that old! In the end we went down and showed him where he should belong, the cheeky chap asked me for 35 zloty to pay for his lock, so I claimed he would have to ask the previous owner who did it… ;)

In the end we all lived happily after and I dont have to freeze this winter because I can still get at my wood.

What IS intersting, is that I have finally found out who is responsible for filtering and storing 300+ litres of water in my basement. He claimed it was incase there is no rennovation etc but it seemed more like he was a WW3 Paranoia kind of guy!

He kindly offered us some of his “mineral water” if we wanted it!
