Dying, Prague Style

Why am I in Prague? Not sure but it is slowly killing me. Partying seems to be top of the agenda here for most people and they are good at it! I have had about 20 hours in the last week, that’s not an exaggeration either. I arrived at my hosts place the other night at 4am thinking we would get an early night, he arrived at the same time.. and we went on to our next venue. That has been fairly typical and between my lack of sleep and home hair cut – I look like crap.

I have been to a beer tasting evening, an indian meal with about 30 dishes and there is another beer tasting event tonight. I have found a chocolate beer I am rather fond of.

Last night I enjoyed a trip to a car impound place after a couple of German girls had their car towed from outside my hosts place. Only 10km away on a tram, it was quite fun though turning up with half drunk bottles of vodka and what not to pick up a car! Plus we nearly died on the way back.

Current plan – start heading east on Friday! It’s likely to change but I just need to keep floating around until I can move into my new home in Krakow in early April! I can’t wait.

Enjoying Prague and Cross Club

Finding a couch surfer proved a little difficult here so we opted for a hostel. I didn’t actually try that hard and will probably find someone to host me this evening.

A guy I know potentially has a room for me for the next couple of weeks so I am holding out for that as it would be nice to feel “settled” in Prague for a while so I can really get to know this place before I leave.

Went to a cool place called cross club last night to meet some people and watch some really good live music. It was pretty special and something you would struggle to find in a lot of other countries.  A couple of days in this city is simply not enough, you need at least a month if you really want to get a feel for it.

Met some English girls in our hostel, we spoke with them for a couple of hours and they invited us out, unfortunately they were going to watch football and on route I decided I didn’t really fancy it. I mentioned this to Bryan and we simply left the tram we were on at the next stop leaving them a bit perplexed. It was very childish and very funny.

This event plus 5 more equally ridiculous scenarios with locals in about 1 hour made for a very humorous evening.

Met up with some people who visited Krakow a few weeks back to show us around which proved invaluable!  Steak dinner, shots and beers for 5 Euros, bargain! I’m so very English.

Trip to Czech Republic

06-Mar-2011 12:48, Sony Ericsson U20i, 0.004 sec, ISO 40

I decided to come to Prague with Bryan the yank! I don’t have anything better to do and it’s difficult to drag myself away from Krakow… I thought it would be a good experience and saying yes to a few more things can’t possibly be a bad thing.

Prague today… but I have no idea where I will be tomorrow.
