This should* be interesting

Lost in Translation

A great night in the most bizarre anti russian restaurant in central Lviv with our guide. Lots of interesting Ukranian delights to sample, I already regret not filming this trip like the Russia adventure. There seems to be an interesting experience every minute.

So, I was explaining to my guide how I had forgotten my toothbrush last night on the way home, she explained how she doesnt like carrying too much on her travels and offered me the use of hers. After several attempts to decline her kind offer, i explained how it would be too intimate for me :) Seems she thought I meant toothpaste….

I do like these misunderstandings!

She got up early this morning and prepared us a great breakfast, shes a bit of a star really! Now she is driving us towards the mountains or somewhere random, im not sure yet!

The roads here are horriffic, my spine has taken some damage! And there has been some insane swerving and slamming of the brakes. Why dont I have insurance?

I Love this country already!

Decorating Progress

I am in the Ukraine now, Lviv to be exact, but I am so pleased with my flats progress.. I thought I would use my spare 10 minutes to show off. Plus my family will be impressed by this information, presumably.

I spent most of the weekend, Monday and Tuesday painting my flat to death, filling holes and then watching all the paint crack off the walls! However, the horrific blue is mainly gone and it no longer looks like a prison.

I had rather a lot of help from Anna, including on her very short break!

Since then, Sue turned up and instead of painting with me, she convinced me to let her start ripping the plaster off my walls…. a few hours later and we were both smashing away at the plaster and now its all pretty.

Unfortunatley, we left our departure rather late and I effectively lost £100 worth of train tickets to this place so we had to buy some more… rather upsetting!

Oh well, I am here now in this hostel, some random friend of Sues has just turned up to meet us and will take us around Lviv and then a few places in the Ukraine. Should be fun!
